  • Raimundo:al leer sobre tus recuerdos, de verdad me hubiera gustado q te acuerdes de mi, ya q tambien compartimos la carpeta, incluso recuerdo q alguna vez formamos un trio con maria Paz y participamos en lurin cantando un vals. un gusto saber de ti y q te encuentras bien. recibe un fuerte abrazo de tu pata de siempre

    Gustavo:por supuesto Ray, no te encontraba por ninguna parte en facebook, tu eres capitulo aparte en mi historia, mi companero del alma, el de los secretos del corazon, recuerdo que escondia mis poemas que le escribia a Elsa, claro que me acuerdo de ti, creo que te tenia podrido con que me digas si "viste a Elsa?. Un abrazo hermano. Muchos momentos que fueron moldeando nuestros sentimientos,pensamiento y valores. Como dice el dicho:'Cambiamos pero seguimos siendo los mismos" Tu sabes que estaba aterrorizado con que mi madrastra aparezca en medio de la actuacion, Como es no? cuando uno tiene una pasion puede arriesgar todo en pos de sus suenos o su intuicion. Pero crecemos con nuestros miedos y no le hacemos caso a nuestro corazon sino a la razon. que siempre es segura. segura como una carcel. Pero la adrenalina siempre ha estado presente en mi vida, el sudor en las manos, ese temblor que recorre el cuerpo y se transforma en un tic nervioso.

  • Gustavo Boada Como esta Anita? seria "Alma corazon y vida" el vals que cantamos? no recuerdo los detalles pero si ,mi cuerpo recuerda la emocion,la energia de mis celulas se elevan a niveles increibles celebrando la vida, estaba vivo y tenia la gracia de Dios. a pesar de que creia vivir en un circulo de represion y castigo.

  • Gustavo Boada Vivir con intensidad, ha sido la marca en mis transiciones de una etapa a otra, no ha sido facil, he tenido que quitarme muchas "colchas" de seguridad,pero ando liviano ahora,no me pesa nada,ni cargo culpas, solo el presente y ni siquiera la angustia de la cita con Dama vestida de negro me distrae del presente. Pero los recuerdos son un tesoro,medallas de carne y hueso.Aciertos que llegan desde remotas horas para dibujar sonrisas de inspiracion presente.

  • Gustavo Boada bueno me tengo que ir a ensayar,estoy trabajando en una obra de titeres para ninos sobre "La abuela que recibe la visita de la muerte en su cumpleanios y la abuela la pone a trabajar para la fiesta de cumpleanios."recien estamos en los bocetos del libretos y los titeres. Gracias a Dios sobrevivo a gusto. Un abrazo y por favor cuentame de ti.desde aquello que nunca me dijiste....

HOMECROFT Eagle Puppets

Mary Plaster-multi-media artist-is leading 12 students at Homecroft Elementary in an after-school program. The students are molding a large soaring eagle puppet, as well as eagle hats for the Parade. The eagle inspired by the HOMECROFT EAGLES mascot, in celebration of their final school year.

CHAT residency with Malia Burkhart

Artist Malia Burkhart is working with youth at The Center for Hmong Arts and Talent and is fashioning larger than life puppets wearing traditional Hmong clothing.

In a residency session two teens at the Center for Hmong Arts and Talent (CHAT) wear their newly-completed puppet-heads for their giant puppets. . .

Stilting - Hancock Rec. Center

Stilting artist Mark Safford has been working with students at Hancock Rec. Center to learn how to walk on stilts. Each participants is building their own pair of stilts and stilt pants for the Parade. By that time, they will be playing games on stilts!

ARTIST RESIDENCIES HAVE YOUNG PEOPLE CREATING MOVING ART FOR THE FESTIVAL PARADE

The foundation of participation and art-creation for this Parade is in community organizations. Ordway Center has partnered with Community and Recreation Centers across Saint Paul to offer artist residencies in after-school programs.

Stating in April and culminating on May 31—there are more than 90 artist sessions for the ARTmoves Parade. The residency participants will also be joined by community artists, family members, and other organizations for the ARTmoves Parade. It is truly a backyard, community parade.

at Hallie Q. Brown/MLK Center is creating insect puppets.
Joe Iverson at Spencer House is working on the theme RECIPE FOR HAPPINESS.
Gita Ghei at West 7th Community Center is shaping a multi-cultural paper Mache earth globe with copper continents, along with orbiting stars and planets.
Gustavo Boada at Merrick Community Center is creating parade puppets.
Mary Plaster at Homecroft Elementary School is molding soaring eagle puppets.
Malia Burkhart at The Center for Hmong Arts and Talent is fashioning larger than life puppets wearing traditional Hmong clothing.
Mark Safford at Hancock Recreation Center is teaching 5th and 6th graders how to construct stilts, and how to dance or perhaps even play sports–on stilts.
Barb Buch at North Dale Recreation Center is creating horse and unicorn bikes with heads and tails that move.
Julian McFaul at Duluth and Case Recreation Center is creating a giant beast from cardboard.
Chris Lutter at Conway Recreation Center is working with young kids to make a large, eye popping tortoise out of umbrellas.
Dudley Voigt at Neighborhood House, is working with teens to create aerosol fashioned clothing.
Estela De Paola de Lerma at Folwell Middle School is working with special needs students of various abilities to create large West Africa Adinkra symbols. This Parade residency is a follow up to a dance and movement residency with Festival artist Sidiki Conde of Tokounou.
